The Comedy of Errors

Oddsocks returns to Workington once again with a performance of The Comedy of Errors; one of William Shakespeare's early plays. ... Set in the Greek city of Ephesus, The Comedy of Errors tells the story of two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated at birth.

There is no charge to watch either performance and there is no need to book, just turn up!

Performances will start at 7pm each night and end at approx. 9.30pm, with an interval half way.

Food and drink stalls will be available - if you are interested in having a stall at this event, please complete our online booking form.

Parking – there is no parking available on site. Nearest car parks are Horse Close CA14 4YB and Udale Street/Ladies Walk CA14 3BA. Charges may apply so please check before parking.

What to wear – comfortable clothing and prepare for all weathers. This is an outdoor performance and we all know what the British weather is like!

What to bring – food, drink (yes, you can bring alcohol), seats, blankets, umbrellas, torches. Gazebos are allowed, but please be considerate to other spectators when setting up and you may be asked to move. No BBQs.

​Pre-show entertainment - will be taking place from 5pm to keep you entertained while you wait.

Rubbish - There will be rubbish bins on site, but we do ask that you take all rubbish away with you.

Dogs - are welcome, but should be kept on a lead at all times.
