What's it all about?

Workington Town Council took ownership of Vulcan Park this summer. To celebrate; we invite you to join us and Cumbria Wildlife Trust for an afternoon of family fun.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust would like your help to plant wildflowers in the Park from 11am-4pm on Saturday 29th September.

Find out tips on how to attract bees and other pollinators to your garden. Plus free activities for kids including wildflower newspaper pots and bee masks. Come along and claim your free pack of Cumbria wildflower seed packets.

Also, in the Park on this day from 1pm - 3pm there will be free face painting by the wonderful Ann Holmes of Moss Bay Arts Workington and arts and crafts by the fabulous Rainbow Jelly Productions.

The Mayor of Workington, Cllr Barbara Cannon, will be cutting the ribbon for the opening event.

Come and chat to our Estate Team Leader about our work for Workington In Bloom, how you can get involved and handy hints and tips for aspiring gardeners.
