Walking For Health

Every Tuesday at 11am

Starting from Workington Library

Please note that due to the current situation with COVID-19, these walks have been cancelled until further notice.

We meet every Tuesday morning at 11am in the foyer of Workington Library to go for a refreshing breath of fresh air around Workington.

Depending on the abilities of the group, we change the route and can be going for a walk round Vulcan Park, into the town centre and up to Hall Park.

The aim of this walk is to get out and about to explore the area, get some exercise and fresh air, socialise and meet new friends.

Walks are led by qualified walking for health leaders, trained by Active Cumbria.

The walk will be at a relaxed pace and will take between 20 - 30 minutes. Routes are planned so there are places to sit and rest if required, so the walk is suitable for all ages and abilities. You're welcome to join us for a cuppa at the library after the walk.

No pre-booking is required, just turn up and join in. If you would like to let us know you are coming or would like further information e-mail us at office@workingtontowncouncil.gov.uk or call us on 01900 702986.

This walk has been organised by Workington Town Council, Workington Library and CADAS with support from Active Cumbria.
