If you're looking for great days out in Cumbria, Workington has plenty to offer in 2026. From family-friendly festivals to meaningful community moments, this year's calendar is packed with events that bring people together and celebrate everything that makes Workington special. Whether you're planning ahead for summer fun or looking forward to festive weekends later in the year, here are five key events to add to your diary.

For 2026, all events (with the exception of the Remembrance Day Parades) are being organised and run by events company Everyone Here, a local community arts programme based in West Cumbria. Everyone Here focuses on making creativity and culture accessible to everyone. They work with local people and organisations to shape and deliver events, projects and creative opportunities that reflect what communities want to see in their area. Everyone Here is supported by Arts Council England as part of the Creative People and Places programme.

Workington Town Council are delighted to be partnering with Everyone Here, and look forward to supporting a programme of inclusive community events that bring people together through creativity and culture.
