🎖️ Remembrance Parades 2026

Sunday 8th November 2026 | Harrington & Workington | Morning & Afternoon

Each year, our community comes together to honour and remember those who gave so much. This November, Remembrance Parades will take place in both Harrington and Workington on Sunday 8th November, with events held across the morning and afternoon.

It's a profoundly important occasion, and an important chance for residents of all ages to pay their respects, reflect, and stand shoulder to shoulder as a community.

We encourage everyone to come out, show your support, and be part of this moving annual tribute. Further details on timings and routes will be shared closer to the date, so keep an eye on our website and social media pages for updates.

The Harrington Parade will leave the Harrington Royal British Legion at 9.40am, and the Workington Parade will leave Pow Street at 2pm. 

🎄 Workington Christmas Festival 2026

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th November 2026 | Workington Town Centre | 11am - 5pm

The most wonderful time of the year is nearly here - and Workington's Christmas Festival is back for another brilliant weekend in the heart of the town centre!

Join us on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November, from 11am to 5pm, for two days of festive fun the whole family can enjoy. Expect a wonderful atmosphere, fantastic local traders, great food and drink, and all the magic that makes Workington's Christmas celebrations so special.

Whether you're kicking off your Christmas shopping, treating yourself to something festive, or simply soaking up the seasonal spirit with loved ones, this is the event to have in your diary.

🌊 Workington Coastal Walk 

Head down to the coast and enjoy a bracing walk along the Solway shoreline. The sea air is refreshing year-round, and on a clear winter's day the views across the Firth towards Scotland are absolutely stunning. A perfect way to blow off the seasonal cobwebs and enjoy the beauty right on our doorstep.
